eclecticism > Of blogging and unemployment

eclecticism > Of blogging and unemployment

Ok....Here's the question: Should someone be fired for blogging something like this?

I'm not sure and neither is the person who was fired. I get the feeling that no one who looks at both sides will know 100%. On one hand, I can see the reason (security) behind it, but on the other hand, the negative publicity is pretty bad. I get the feeling that everyone would have been better off just having him remove the post and letting it fade away. After all, he said he would remove it without a problem and since he was a temp, he never went through the Microsoft orientation. I believe most of the blame should have been placed on the temp agency for failing to educate their employees before sending them out.

Thoughts? Opinions?
